To belong to Bexhill URC is to become part of our church family, where we are all different individuals with a unique, important part to play. Caring for and sharing with each other is a regular feature, as we walk together with our Lord and Saviour through the many ups and downs of life.

Each person has a designated, named Elder. This is the 'go-to person' for help, support and advice in the first instance when you face problems.

Several retired but actively involved ministers are part of our congregation. They work with others in the church to provide a spiritual and practical pastoral support network and care, when and as it is needed. This may be in church, care homes, hospitals and often with people in their own home.

Of particular concern are those who live on their own and many of these people are able to enjoy a monthly home cooked Sunday roast lunch in the church, as well as a Christmas Day dinner and tea party with all the trimmings.

We all have a part to play in caring for one another in our church family. Many times, people have stood up in a service and thanked the whole church for supporting them in prayer and practical ways through difficult times and health challenges, some quite distressing. They speak, in amazement, of feeling as though they were literally being carried through what they were facing, and how they experienced the peace and presence of God in the midst of deep difficulties. This is something they will never forget.
