We pray once again for an end to the Russian and Ukraine conflict after so much needless loss of life and destruction.

We pray for an end to the Iran and US conflict and that the Strait of Hormuz can again open for trade. (We think of the sailors on board those ships trapped there for over 3 months now away from their families.) The world economy is struggling as a result.

Israel has been striking Lebanon, following Gaza, and now this has caused an escalation in the Middle East. (Houthi rebels in Gaza and Hezbollah rebels in Lebanon are supported by Iran.) Again there has been loss of life, injuries and destruction and many are living in tents dependant on food deliveries by charities.

The Sudan civil war continues and many people have been displaced and are struggling to live.

We prayer for our Government, currently looking into the future with the use of AI, that they will control it’s roll out.

We prayer for young people, who access so much via social media on their phones and iPads, that there will be controls introduced to stop them accessing harmful content eg pornography.
MAKE PRAYER YOUR FIRST PRIORITY
I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day.
I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.
‘Why doesn’t God help me?’ I wondered.
He answered ‘You didn’t ask.’
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, grey and bleak.
I wondered why God didn’t show me. He said, ‘But you didn’t seek.’
I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided, ‘My child you didn’t knock.’
I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray!
