Janet's prayers for our nation and communities

 - Spring 2025

- Prayers for the World

  • We pray for PEACE in war torn areas: The Middle East, Russia & Ukraine, the Congo/Rwanda, Myanmar and Sudan.

  • We pray for the many injured as the result of war and for the families coping with loss.

  • We give thanks for the medical teams and charity workers who risk their own lives to help in dangerous places.

  • We pray for the many refugees in camps with little hope or future.

  • We thank you for the people who raise funds and give to charities to help those in need.

  • We pray for the leaders of the world that they may make wise decisions and do the best for their countries.

  • We pray for a more equal world with wealth shared more fairly.

  • We pray for us all to have more respect for creation and not be greedy.

- Spring

We give thanks for the amazing life forms on this Planet. Nature is incredible and scientists continue to discover new things. Spring always brings joy.

- Easter

At this time of year we remember Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey Palm Sunday, 13th April – fulfilling a prophecy. Jesus then shared His last Passover meal with His disciples with the symbols of bread and wine as His body and blood which we now celebrate as Communion. He was then arrested and Crucified on Good Friday, 18th April. He died on the cross and then was put in a tomb. 3 days later he was alive again with the scars on His body. The Resurrection is celebrated by Christians on Easter Sunday, April 20th. Jesus gave his life as a sacrifice so that all who believe in Him may have life after death in Heaven.
